Because of being committed to our mission, we at DRS International, offer a broad, rich, and challenging curriculum in terms of CBSE, IB and Cambridge curricula at its heart.

The academic programme at DRS International School is designed to meet the needs of young children. Our curriculum is planned, designed, and developed in such a way that it creates experiences for children developing higher-order thinking skills like – problem solving, critical thinking, creative thinking, reflective thinking, etc.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

International Baccalaureate is a global leader in international education developing inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people. IB programmes are designed to develop well-rounded individuals who can respond to today’s challenges with optimism and an open mind.  Students at IB world schools are given a unique, challenging, and diverse education.

IB comprises of 4 programmes – Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) and Career Related Programme (CP). Qualitative data from a study on IB Diploma Programme in the USA suggested that students who participated in the DP during High School are more academically adjusted to the rigour and expectations of college.

DRS International School is an authorised IB World School for the PYP, MYP and DP Curriculum. We are an IB Continuum world school which helps us to provide high-quality programmes of education, which support the development of knowledgeable and inquiring students; professional development that supports effective educators and collaborative professional learning communities.

IB PYP at DRSIS

We believe that the IB curriculum has one of the best approaches towards primary schooling in the world. It forms the bedrock for learning in the formative years through inquiry-based learning. The soul of IB PYP is its commitment to international-mindedness and this belief is enshrined in all our practices at DRSIS. The goal is to produce a common curriculum framework, for students, in the range of 3-12 age groups, which would provide continuity of learning to take it forward for further education in our school and ensure that the curriculum developed international-mindedness on the part of learners. PYP curriculum at DRSIS is dynamic and transdisciplinary in nature which moves to learn across, between and beyond disciplines.

IB MYP at DRSIS

IB MYP at DRS International School is uniquely designed to offer a well-rounded education and help students achieve success in school and life. It aims for students to develop their personal understanding, for growing a sense of self and responsibility in their community, in addition to conceptual understanding, approaches to learning, community service, and language and identity. The MYP is designed for students aged 11 to 16. It provides a framework of learning that encourages students to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers. IB MYP ensures breadth and depth of understanding through study in eight subject groups – Language Acquisition, Language and Literature, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, Arts, Physical and Health Education, and Design. MYP, at DRSIS, offers a range of innovative eAssessments that go beyond traditional examinations, along with community and student projects.

IBDP at DRSIS

The IBDP programme at DRSIS offers students a choice of elective subjects across 6 groups including Language and Literature, Individuals and Societies, Experimental Sciences, Mathematics, and the Arts. At the core of the programme is Theory of Knowledge (ToK), Extended Essay (EE) and Creativity-Activity-Service (CAS), which makes up the heart of DP. We bring IBDP with an inquiry-based pedagogical approach that empowers the learner by encouraging self-directed learning.  IBDP at DRS International School invests a lot of time in cultivating them as independent creative and critical thinkers who are ready to pursue under-graduation programmes in the world’s best universities to which they are highly capable.
